While playing with his siblings in Nickel Creek, Thile continued to balance a career as a solo act by releasing albums like Leading Off (1994), Not All Who Wander Are Lost (2001), How to Grow a Woman from the Ground (2006) and Thanks for Listening (2017). Thile also formed a new band called Punch Brothers which has recorded over six studio albums including Punch (2008), The Phosphorescent Blues (2015) and All Ashore (2018).
