After unprecedented positive reviews, including a rave review by The New York Times, Ain’t Misbehavin’ opened on Broadway in 1978 at the Longacre Theatre. The Broadway production ran for nearly five years and over 1,500 performances. The musical’s popularity saw it run at London’s West End for a number of years and enjoy several significant revivals including a 2008 anniversary tour starring multiple American Idol singers.
