Picking a rock concert tour to splurge on can be a bit overwhelming with groups like Arctic Monkeys, Disturbed, Metallica and others all hitting the road this year. To help you out, we have selected the following upcoming 2023 rock concerts that will be sure to provide an awesome experience. 

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Global Stadium Tour

One of Canada’s most successful rock bands is heading out on its first tour in six years. Nickelback’s Get Rollin’ tour kicks off June 12 in Quebec City at the Centre Videotron. The tour, featuring Josh Ross and Brantley Gilbert as opening acts, will run through the summer, ending on Aug. 30. Nickleback’s recent album Get Rollin’ was released in 2022, following the drop of the album’s lead single, “San Quentin” in September. 

As a multi-platinum rock group, Nickelback has sold more than 50 million albums across the world and has been awarded two AMAs, six Billboard awards, 12 Juno Awards and other awards. Mötley Crüe & Def Leppard – The World Tour

Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard’s The World Tour NA leg is slated to start Aug. 5, joined on select dates by Alice Cooper. The 2022 Stadium Tour was the first major tour in several years for both rock groups and sold more than 1.3 million tickets. 

Mötley Crüe, aka ‘The World’s Most Notorious Rock Band,’ has produced seven platinum and multi-platinum albums, received three Grammy nominations and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2019, Def Leppard was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and two years later released Diamond Star Halos with the lead single “Kick.” The album marked their first new work in nearly seven years.

Pantera w/ Lamb of God – North American Tour 

Pantera is making a highly anticipated comeback and heading on tour for the first time in 20 years. Joining them on their North America tour will be fellow metal group Lamb of God as the opener. The tour kicks off on July 28 and runs through the fall before ending on Nov. 10. Fans were rightly devastated when Pantera disbanded after the tragic loss of one of their band members. Guns N’ Roses – World Tour

The North American leg of Guns N’ Roses’ World Tour starts Aug. 5 in Moncton, CAN, and makes its way to the U.S. on Aug. 11 before concluding on Oct. 16 in Vancouver, CAN. The band’s previous tour became the third-highest-grossing concert tour ever by the time it concluded. With popular tracks like “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “Welcome to The Jungle,”  and “November Rain,” hard rock fans will enjoy seeing Guns N’ Roses live. 

Even with lineup changes over the years, Guns N’ Roses has produced multiple certified gold and platinum albums and singles and has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 and has won and been nominated for many awards including four AMA wins and four Grammy nominations. The band recently released a Super Deluxe edition of Use Your Illusion with four discs full of deluxe remastered singles and live recordings, including a reworked version of “Hard Skool” from the Chinese Democracy sessions.

Bryan Adams – So Happy It Hurts Tour

Enjoy the nostalgia of ‘80s rock when you get Bryan Adams tickets. His So Happy It Hurts tour starts on June 6 in Baltimore, Md., with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts opening the show. Coined as the “Groover From Vancouver,” Adams’ career took off following the success of Reckless, a five-time multi-platinum album that sold more than 12 million copies. Some of his most popular songs, “Summer of 69,” and Run to You” came from this album.

Songs from Bryan Adams’ most recent release, So Happy It Hurts (2022), like “Always Have, Always Will” and “On The Road,” will be featured on the tour. To acknowledge his talent, Bryan Adams was nominated to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2023. 

Foreigner – The Historic Farewell Tour 

After more than 40 years in the music industry, Foreigner is embarking on their final tour. The North American leg of The Historic Farewell tour begins on March 24 and ends on Sept. 3. Popular ‘80s band Loverboy will be joining them on the road. With 10 multi-platinum albums and more Top 10 hits than Journey, Foreigner is no doubt one of the world’s best rock bands. 

Foreigner debuted in 1977 with a self-titled album that has been certified at least five times in the US. Most recently the band accompanied Kid Rock on his Bad Reputation Tour. “Feels Like the First Time,” “Waiting for A Girl Like You,” “Hot Blooded” and “Juke Box Hero” are just a few top hits that you can enjoy with Foreigner tickets

Shinedown – The Revolutions Live Tour

Join Shinedown as the group heads out on The Revolutions Live tour with Three Days Grace and From Ashes to New. The North American venture begins on April 3 in Saginaw, Mich., and ends on May 9 in Portland, Ore. With 10 million records sold worldwide, Shinedown’s talent and success can’t be denied. They were ranked No. 1 by Billboard on the Greatest of All Time Mainstreams Rock Artists chart. Get ready to hear popular hits like “Cut the Cord,” “Second Chance,” and “Sound of Madness,” and other hits this spring.

Along with multiple gold and platinum albums, Shinedown has received awards and nominations like Rock Artist of the Year at the 2021  iHeartRadio Music Awards. The following year, they released their newest album, Planet Zero along with singles like “Daylight.” Planet Zero was nominated for Best Rock at the 2022 VMAs.

Journey & Toto – Freedom Tour

Journey is currently on their Freedom tour with TOTO as their opening act. The arena tour, which ends on April 25, features music from their album, Freedom (2022). The album’s debut marked the end of the 11-year gap between Journey’s last studio album release. This Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee has more than 48 million albums sold in the US along with many gold and platinum-certified albums.
