How Much Do Bowl Games Cost?

Bowl game tickets typically start around $30 for seats further away from the field. If you want to be closer to the field or up in a suite, tickets can cost several hundred dollars. The price will also depend on the matchup. For example, if you want to see one of the New Year’s Six games or a CFP Semifinal, those tickets will likely be more expensive since the game is considered higher quality.

Team Profiles

Northwestern (7-5) won just one game last season but is riding a three-game winning streak into a matchup against Utah at the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl. The Wildcats are led by Big Ten Coach of the Year David Braun who will attempt to win the program’s fifth straight bowl game. Their last victory came against Auburn in the 2021 Citrus Bowl.

Minnesota (5-7) will attempt to snap a four-game losing streak that ended their 2023-24 regular-season campaign. The Gophers will face Bowling Green in the Quick Lane Bowl. Minnesota has won its last six bowl games dating back to the 2015 Quick Lane Bowl. This is the 24th overall bowl game appearance for the Gophers.

Rutgers (6-6) matched the program record with three conference victories this season and earned an invitation to play Miami in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl. The Scarlet Knights held opponents Big Ten to an average of 25.1 points and ranked 18th nationally in overall defense, allowing 313.7 yards per game.

Ohio State (11-1) will face Missouri in the 88th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic. The seventh-ranked Buckeyes ranked first in pass defense and second in scoring defense this season. They also have one of the nation’s most valuable weapons on offense in Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year Marvin Harrison Jr.

Penn State (10-2) boasts another staunch defense leading the country in first downs allowed, sacks per game and total sacks as well as total defense. On offense, the Nittany Lions rank fourth in red zone conversion percentage ahead of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. Penn State will face Ole Miss.

Maryland (7-5) will make its 30th all-time bowl appearance when the Terrapins play Auburn in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl. The Terps ranked second in the Big Ten with 393.8 points per game and led the league in passing yards with 284.8. This is their third consecutive bowl appearance.

Wisconsin (7-5) will face Heisman Trophy contender Jayden Daniels and LSU in the ReliaQuest Bowl. The Badgers enter that matchup on a two-game win streak and have held all but one opponent to 24 points or fewer this season. This will be Wisconsin’s 35th bowl game appearance and seventh in the ReliaQuest Bowl.

Iowa (10-2) is set to face Tennessee in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl. It will be the 36th bowl game appearance for the Hawkeyes and they have won four of their last five. Iowa went 4-0 in November to finish with a 7-2 conference slate and record their eighth 10-win season under coach Kirk Ferentz.
