Beyoncé, Lizzo and Harry Styles were among the biggest 2023 Grammy Award winners this Sunday. The 65th edition of the music awards show was held at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena where Beyoncé broke the record for most Grammys of all time with four wins on the night. That pushed her total to 32. She also tied the record this year for most nominations with 88.

Beyoncé’s Record-Breaking Night
Beyoncé and her Renaissance album were nominated for nine Grammy Awards and took home four of them on this historic night. Those included Best Dance/Electronic Music Album and Best R&B Song. Her 32 career Grammys broke the record held by late Hungarian-Britis conductor Georg Solti. Beyoncé is set to embark on the Renaissance World Tour later this year which has already been expanded to add duplicate dates in cities around the globe. It is expected to be one of the summer’s hottest tours.
Record of the Year: Lizzo
Lizzo took home Record of the Year for her infectious single “About Damn Time.” It was the first song released off her fourth studio album Special, which was released in July, and is already certified double platinum by the RIAA. She is continuing her tour this spring and summer with Latto, who was nominated for Best New Artist, and will perform at a handful of festivals including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival as well as the BottleRock Festival and Governors Ball Music Festival.
Album of the Year: Harry Styles
In one of the night’s biggest surprises, Harry Styles was awarded Album of the Year for Harry’s House. It is his third studio album and it earned the top spot on charts around the globe. Harry’s House is now certified platinum by the RIAA after selling more than 750,000 copies in the U.S. alone. It also earned Best Pop Vocal Album and includes “As It Was” which was nominated for Record of the Year. Styles is currently on the European leg of his Love On Tour.
Song of the Year: Bonnie Raitt
Bonnie Raitt, who won a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022, returned this year to win Song of the Year and Best American Roots Song for her single “Just Like That.” She also won best Americana Performance for “Made Up Mind.” Her 2022 album Just Like That… was her 18th studio album and first since 2016. Raitt released her self-titled debut in 1971. Bonnie Raitt will be in Las Vegas for three dates in March before continuing on for her Just Like That… tour.
Other Notable Winners
- Kendrick Lamar won Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for “The Heart Part 5” as well as Best Rap Album for Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers. He will be performing at several festivals this summer including the Governors Ball Music Festival and Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.
- Sam Smith and Kim Petras won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Unholy.” Smith starts the North American leg of their GLORIA the tour in July.
- Adele, who is in Las Vegas for her Weekends with Adele residency through the end of March, won Best Pop Solo Performance for her song “Easy on Me.”
- Brandi Carlile, who hits the road this summer with P!nk, won Best Rock Song for “Broken Horses” and Best Americana Album for In These Silent Days.
- Bad Bunny won Best Música Urbana Album for Un Verano Sin Ti and Rosalia won Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album for MOTOMAMI. Both will perform at Coachella.
- Willie Nelson, who is celebrating his 90th birthday this April with a two-day festival featuring his talented friends, won Best Country Album for A Beautiful Time and Best Country Solo Performance for “Live Forever.”
