Worriers is the passion project of Frontwoman Lauren Denitzio who started the band in 2011 after leaving the band The Measure. The original lineup also included Rachel Rubino (guitar), John McLean (guitar), Audrey Zee Whitesides (bass), Mike Yannich (drums) and Lou Hanman (backing vocals). The lineup has changed over time though Denitzio is usually joined by Hanman and Mikey Erg (drums). In 2013 the band released their first EP entitled Cruel Optimist.
With a talent for covering the rawest of topics in a rocking and poignant fashion, Worriers tickets are always an adventure. Denitzio writes all of the Worriers' music which often comes in the form of heavily melodic high energy punk that makes audiences want to jump up and down. In 2015 the band released their first full-length album entitled Imaginary Life. Highlighted by songs like “Life During Peacetime,” “Yes All Cops,” and “They/Them/Theirs” the album resonated with many fans for its portrayal of experiences. The Worriers’ third album, You of Somone You Know, was released in 2020 through 6131 Records.
