Trigger Hippy is a rock band that plays in the multiple genres of Delta blues, R&B and Southern rock. Other members have included vocalist and guitarist Ed Jurdi and singer Amber Woodhouse. Trigger Hippy made its live debut on February 2, 2009, at a benefit for the Allman Brothers Big House Museum, held at the Cox Capitol Theatre in Macon, Georgia. Steve Gorman spent years on an up-and-down ride as co-founder of the Black Crowes, and his Trigger Hippy co-founder Nick Govrik spent more than 10 years with his ‘90s group, Highwater.
Trigger Hippy vocal styles include their call-and-response duets and three-part vocal harmonies. They released their first EP, Trigger Hippy in 2013, and their first single, “Rise Up Singing" in 2014. The band also released a live album in 2012 titled Trigger Hippy – Live at Wanee Festival 2012.
