Orlando was originally hired to write songs and produced a pair of hits in “Bless You” and “Halfway to Paradise” at the young age of 16. Some of his most successful songs include the single he released in 1962, which was picked up by The Beatles and added to their setlist on The Beatles Winter 1963 Helen Shapiro Tour. It was a cover of "Beautiful Dreamer" by Stephen Foster.
