The band started in 1978 with primary members and founders Tommy Heath and Jim Keller. Heath is the only constant member throughout. They released three albums in their first iteration Tommy Tutone, Tommy Tutone 2, and National Emotion. The second album featured a smash hit they would be best known for throughout the decades. After a hiatus the band returned in 1996 with the album release of Nervous Love, then Tutone.rtf in 1998. The band signed with Spectra Records in 2007 and has released numerous singles under their banner.
