Buy Tom Browne tickets and listen to authentic jazz. Trumpeter Tom Browne was born in 1954 in Queens, New York. He first took up the piano at age 11 but soon, inspired by his collection of jazz albums, he took up the trumpet. His first gig was at The Village Door, a local club in Queens.

He played his first professional gig with Weldon Irvine Jnr in 1975. In 1988, he played with Sonny Fortune on the album “Infinity Is” as well as with Lonny Smith on his record “Gotcha.” Soon thereafter, Browne signed with Dave Grusin and Larry Rosen to GRP Records and he released the jazz fusion album “Browne Sugar,” which was highly acclaimed. In 1980, Browne had a breakout hit with the release of “Funkin’ for Jamaica.”  

Enjoy smooth jazz with Tom Browne tickets. Browne stayed with Grusin and Rosen for a number of albums, releasing “Yours Truly”’ in 1981 as well as “Magic” in 1982.  The final release that he recorded with GRP Records was the song “Brighter Tomorrow.”

 In 1982, Browne signed with Arista records. He would then release the 1983 album “Rockin’ Radio” with the single of the same name. In 1984, the album “Tommy Gun,” featured Siedah Garrett singing lead on the track “Secret Fantasy.” This was his final work with Arista records.

Tom has collaborated with several performers. He worked with Fuse One on their “Ice” album as well as Roy Ayers on the “Goree Island” track for the album “In the Dark.”
