Their breakthrough came when they entered an unsigned bands competition to play at the 2004 Glastonbury Festival and were chosen by organiser Michael Eavis as the winners.

Debut album Young For Eternity (2005) produced a barrage of spiky, high energy indie pop songs with the single Rock & Roll Queen going on to be used in episodes of TV show The O.C., Guy Richie's film RocknRolla and a commercial for Rimmel cosmetics featuring Kate Moss. Extensive touring led to the break-up of Billy and Charlotte's relationship and Billy was forced to undergo throat surgery before the tense recording of second album All Or Nothing (2008).
