In 2003, the group signed with Make My Day Records to release their debut album, Fogdiver, which received critical acclaim for its impressive musicality. The band eventually caught the attention of Metal Blade Records where they signed in 2005 and released 2006’s Aeolian. The band has been known to dive into conceptual albums as heard with the popular 2013 album, Pelagial, which boasts a tracklist exploring the oceanic depths paired with sounds that capture the claustrophobia and increasing pressure of the descent. This was followed by a two-volume concept series comprised of 2018’s Phanerozoic I: Paleozoic and 2020’s Phanerozoic II: Mesozoic / Cenozoic.
