The band started in 2011 as Anthropophagy, which was re-named Skeletal Remains after the release of their first demo. They took to the road quickly touring with bands like Hatebreed, Municipal Waste, Power Trip and The Black Dahlia Murder. They were known first as Anthropophagy and changed the name to Skeletal Remains after the release of their first demo. A decade later, founding members Mike De La O and Chris Monroy were still touring and shredding on guitar. Bassist Noah Young and drummer Pierce Williams joined the band in 2020.
