Red Wanting Blue tickets began selling out weeks in advance during their 2012 tour across the United States. The band released the critically acclaimed album Little America in 2014, which peaked at No. 3 on Billboard Heatseekers and No. 31 on Billboard Mainstream Rock charts. 

The massively successful album led to extensive touring through the United States and Canada, including performances on a cruise ship for the Cayamo music festival. At Cayamo, Red Wanting Blue performed alongside famous bands and artists, including John Prine, Lucinda Williams, The Lone Bellow and Lyle Lovett. The band's most recent album, The Wanting, debuted in 2018.
