Recycled Percussion got its name when Spencer took inspiration from playing on buckets as he had seen in the subways of New York, and from there, the band had a talent in turning someone else’s trash into recycled instruments.
In 1999, the band started to gain popularity when it featured on the cover of USA Today, and in just two years, Recycled Percussion started to tour. They would go on tour for almost ten years until they grabbed the spotlight on the fourth season of America’s Got Talent, and their non-singing audition among hundreds of acts landed them third place. After this success, they started working for Jerry Springer on a live programing of America’s Got Talent. They spent three months performing their act at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and then spent one month at Connecticut’s MGM Grand Foxwoods. They then officially signed on with the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in 2010 and bounced all around the Vegas Strip with their interactive performances.
