Toher began his career performing in punk bands until he found his way onto the post-rock group Apse. After the group disbanded a few years later he started the electronic duo ERAAs with Austin Stawiarz.
With two big group projects under his belt, Toher began to pursue a solo sound after ERAAS broke up in 2012. Working out of Los Angeles, California, Toher started to craft the moody sound that would become Public Memory. His work culminated in the release of his debut full-length album Wuthering Drum. On songs like “Cul De Sac”, “As You Wish” and “Interfaith” Toher showcased his refined minimalistic style. In 2018, Public Memory released Demolition where Toher brought forth a more evolved sound. As Toher reaches farther into the depths of sounds synthesizers can create with each release his third full-length album Ripped Apparition dropped in 2020.
