The Port Angeles Lefties began in the early 2000s as the Kitsap BlueJackets and were one of the founding members of the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League. They changed their name to the Port Angeles Lefties following their move to the area in 2016. In their inaugural season in Port Angeles, the Lefties placed within the top three teams in the WCL in terms of fan attendance. In 2018 the team hosted the West Coast League All-Star Game and Home Run Derby.
