A son of Greek immigrants, Pavlo was born in Toronto, Canada. Simtikidis was ten years old when a cousin demonstrated a riff from a Beatles song on guitar. Pavlo incorporates that song, “Day Tripper,” into almost every show he plays. 

Pavlo showed a great aptitude for music at an early age, writing his first song at twelve. At thirteen, he put on a concert for his fellow students, charging 25 cents per attendee. Pavlo has studied extensively and broadly, from classical to flamenco, playing in rock and a RUSH tribute bands as he worked on his sound. In his mid-20s, as he was on the Greek island of Santorini, he wrote “Santorini Sunset,” a song that featured the Greek instrument the bouzouki.
