In 2017 Paul Shaffer released a self-titled album with The Worlds Most Dangerous Band. When promoting the album, Paul and the band got a chance to play at Ed Sullivan Theater. This was the first time since Lettermen ended two years earlier that the band had the opportunity to play together in that space.
