The members are Wilfried Brandstotter, Zoltan Kiss, Gerhard Fubi, Leonhard Paul, Roman Rindberger, Robert Rother and Thomas Gansch.
The members of Mnozil Brass met while playing at the Mnozil pub in Vienna, from which the band takes its name. They began playing together in 1992, and quickly developed a reputation for their sophisticated musical technicality, as all the members had studied at the famed Vienna College of Music. After several rehearsals, the band decided to incorporate humor into their live shows in an effort to show that music, even classical, does not have to be serious.
Mnozil Brass collaborates heavily with director Bernd Jeschek, who has developed the group’s stage productions Smoke, Ragazzi and Seven, among others.
