Sharp admits she is inspired by the sounds of Bonnie Raitt, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne and Sting. Sharp earned a degree in music theory from California State University, Northridge and focused heavily on songwriting since graduation.
Sharp performed her first concert in 1993 and in 1997, recorded her critically acclaimed debut album aptly titled, Hardly Glamour. The album helped Sharp gain a loyal fanbase.
