Frederiksen has also enjoyed a successful career as a producer, collaborating with high-profile groups like The Forgotten, Agnostic Front and The Dropkick Murphys.
Born in Campbell, California in 1971, Frederiksen fell in love with music watching his older brother perform. He briefly served as a member of the punk rock group The UK Subs in 1991 before joining the band Rancid in 1993 following their search for a new guitar player. Frederiksen contributed heavily to Rancid’s critically acclaimed sophomore studio album Let’s Go. He rose to fame, however, following his work on Rancid’s 1995 album …And Out Come the Wolves, which was a runaway success. The album produced several charting hits including “Time Bomb,” “Ruby Soho” and “Roots Radicals,” with the album as a whole later certified platinum.
Frederiksen has since contributed guitar and vocals to a slew of successful punk bands including The Old Firm Casuals, Oxley’s Midnight Runners and Stomper 98, among others.
