Lady Lamb's first album was only distributed from Bullmoose Record Store in Brunswick within Spaltro’s handmade packaging. With a tattoo of her home state of Maine on her arm, Spaltro moved to Brooklyn in 2010 to find a bigger audience for her music. As part of her transition, Spaltro changed her name from Lady Lamb the Beekeeper to just Lady Lamb. In 2012, she started working with producer Nadim Issa and they together created her debut album in 2013, Ripely Pine.
