A countertenor is the highest range of a male’s voice and can match the range of a female contralto or mezzo-soprano. Orlinski sang in the choir as a child. When he was a teenager, he sang with a nine-member vocal male group, selected to sing countertenor parts in Renaissance music. He elected to pursue this genre of music after becoming an aficionado of the British a cappella group, The King’s Singers.
Orlinski joined the choir Gregorianum, an all-male choir and led by Berenka Jozajitis, performing both domestically and internationally. He studied at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, performing frequently with the University along with the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art. He joined the Opera Academy of the Grand Theatre in Warsaw in 2012.
