Join the heavy metal fandom with Infected Rain tickets. Infected Rain is a five-piece heavy metal band from Moldova known for its melodic yet eccentric style of death metal. The members are Elena Cataraga, Eugen Voluta, Sergey Babich, Vladimir Babich and Vadim Ozhog.
Infected Rain was founded by Cataraga and Ozhog in 2008, and gave their first performance later that year at a Slayer tribute concert. They also performed at the Red Alert Festival in Crimea before recording their three-song demo EP. Infected Rain began gaining notoriety through celebrated appearances at events like RockHausen, Forest Kap and Big Up! Urban Fest, winning the second place prize at the latter.
In 2009 Infected Rain released their six-song EP EP2009, which established the group’s signature sound that involves hard riffs, electronic samples and screaming vocals. They gained further acclaim when they released their debut full-length album Asylum in 2011.
Infected Rain has since performed alongside high-profile acts like Dimmu Borgir, Behemoth and Motley Crue. Moldovan media outlets have often commented on lead singer Cataraga’s striking style, as she sports bright orange dreadlocks, excessive tattoos and heavy goth makeup.
