Corridor is an alternative rock band from Canada made up of members Samuel Gougoux, Julien Bakvis, Jonathan Robert, Julian Perreault and Dominic Berthiaume. The band came together in Montreal, Quebec in the early 2010s, releasing their debut EP Un Magicien en Toi in 2013.
With the release of Corridor’s first two albums Le Voyage Eternel and Supermercado in 2015 and 2017, the band established their signature sound which combines traditional indie rock elements with sophisticated, multi-layered instrumentation. In 2019 Corridor became the first French-speaking band to sign to the famous Sub Pop indie label. They released their album Junior through the label later that year before setting off on their first series of tours across the US and UK.
Junior would be nominated for the Polaris Music Prize, and the album’s song “Topographe” was nominated for the SOCAN Songwriting Prize. The music video for “Topographe” was animated by Jonathan Robert and earned a nomination for the Juno Award for Video of the Year.
