Cathedral Bells Tickets
Cathedral Bells Concert Tickets
Hear this melodic dream pop, shoegaze band with Cathedral Bells tickets. Matt Messore started the band as a solo side project. Messore has been the singer and frontman for a few bands including Nightlight, Go Rydell, You Blew it! And No Harm Done, most of which were active in and around his native Florida. While his eclectic tastes and styles range from emo to pop-punk to indie rock, Cathedral Bells is a mix of coldwave and dream pop with a synth-heavy sound. The first album Velvet Spirit featured a sort of haunting score and had a bit of a ‘single guy on his laptop’ sound. This album’s aesthetic is the embodiment of coldwave with minimalist synthesizers and discordant vocals.
For the sophomore album, Ether Messore, the group recruited Aaron Gollubier (Rareflowers, Pynkie) for drums and Kyle Hoffer (Kinder Than Wolves) for bass. This creates a more melodic, complete sound. With a full band and a slight shift toward dream pop, this band now tours, and the audience can experience the melodic atmosphere with Cathedral Bells tickets. Any fans of DIIV, Silversun Pickups, Wild Nothing or Slowdive are sure to enjoy Cathedral Bells’ take on the genre. Songs like “Dayflower” and “Rewind” exhibit the talents and contributions of Gollubier and Hoffer and songs like “Ghost Dream” and “Deep End” show the darker, experimental, range of this contemporary shoegaze band.
