Settle into the smooth sounds and groovy beats with Brand X tickets. Brand X is a British jazz band formed in London in 1975 by guitarist and synthesizer player John Goodsall and bassist Percy Jones with a line-up that included keyboard player Robin Lumley and for a while pop singer and drummer Phil Collins. The line-up has featured various players over the years including drummer Kenwood Dennard. Current members are Goodsall and Jones plus keyboard player Chris Clark and percussionists Kenny Grohowski and Scott Weinberger.
They released an album titled 'Unorthodox Behaviour' in 1976 followed by 'Moroccan Roll' (1977), 'Masques' (1978), 'Product' (1979), 'Do They Hurt?' (1980) and 'Is There Anything About?' (1982). They played internationally and toured America before disbanding in 1980. Goodsall and Jones put another Brand X band together in 1992 and they released 'X-Communication' followed in 1997 by 'Manifest Destiny'.
They took another break from 1999 to 2016 when the line-up featured Goodsall, Jones, Clark, Weinberger and Dennard, who was succeeded on drums by Kenny Grohowski. They released two concert albums - 'But Wait. There's More!' in 2017 and 'Locked & Loaded' in 2018. Their 2020 schedule was to include appearances at venues in Manchester, Leicester, Milton Keynes, East Sussex, Southampton and Wolverhampton.
