The following year she debuted as a member of f(x). Liu composed and wrote lyrics for a handful of the group's songs including "Goodbye Summer" and "Summer Lover.” Liu debuted as a solo artist with Beautiful. Beautiful took second place on Billboard's World Albums chart and made it to the top 20 on Heatseekers Albums.
