He discovered his love through his mother's piano playing and the rock hit records from Elton John to The Beatles, to even classical muses like Beethoven.
A chance encounter with his father’s old records led Alastair to discover music that would shape the rest of his life. The first time he heard blues and roots-inspired guitar playing was when a friend loaned him some albums from The Allman Brothers to B.B. King and Buddy Guy. Greene received a scholarship from the prestigious Berklee College of Music set in the heart of Boston, where he attended for two years before returning back to his roots. Shortly thereafter he formed the Alastair Green Band in 1997.
