Home field for the Titans is Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton Park. The Titans mark the seventh professional baseball team out of Ottawa.
At the end of the 2019 season, the Can-Am League merged with the Frontier League. The Ottawa Champions baseball team, who had been part of the Can-Am League were not invited to join the Frontier League. The Champions ceased operations and dissolved when Miles Wolff, the owner, could not find a buyer for the organization. This left Ottawa without a professional baseball team.

In September of 2020, the Frontier League administration made the decision to add an expansion team to the League based in Ottawa. A franchise was granted to an ownership team composed of former Winnipeg Mayor Sam Katz and the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group. Katz already had a proven record as a franchise owner as he also owned the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball team the Goldeneyes.
The first manager for the team was announced as Steve Brook, former manager of the River City Rascals. The team name was decided on a name-the-team contest. The team sat out the 2021 season.
