George disbanded the group due to creative differences in 1979 shortly before his death.
Surviving members reformed Little Feat in 1987 and the group has continued to perform and tour to this day. The band has a 50-year history and has stayed true to the blend of swamp pop, rock, and roll, blues country and folk sound that the fans have grown to love over the years. Guitarist Jimmy Page stated Little Feat was his favorite American band in a 1975 Rolling Stone interview. On July 21, 2018, at Peach Fest at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the remaining members of the band joined forces with Moe, the Turkuaz Horns, and the Ramble Band Horns to recreate and pay homage to the band’s classic live album Waiting For Columbus.
