The self-titled debut album by The xx was released in the summer of 2009 and was an immediate hit, hitting the Top 40 in the UK, Australia, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand and France. Their next album, Coexist (2012), sailed to the top of the charts in the UK, Belgium, New Zealand, and Switzerland. Their third album, I See You (2017), equaled the success of Coexist.

Alongside his work with The xx, he also achieved success in 2011 with the album We’re New Here, his remix of Gil Scott-Heron’s 2010 album I’m New Here. His first solo release was the single “Far Nearer/Beat For” in 2011. Jamie xx’s first solo album was 2015’s In Colour, which climbed to Number 1 on the UK Indie Chart. Over the years, Jamie xx has remixed many artists including Florence + the Machine, Adele, Radiohead, Eliza Doolittle, and Four Tet. His work has been recognized over the years with many music nominations and quite a few wins including nods from The Music Producers Guild Awards, Elle Style Awards, UK Music Video Awards, and many others.
