Camerata Pacifica was formed in 1990 by Adrian Spence and was originally called the Bach Camerata. Before emerging as a chamber band, the collective was known for performing the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, as heard in their debut performance of his 6 Brandenburg Concertos. In 1994, it was christened with its current name, honoring the coastal regions on which it stands. The Camerata Pacifica has performed residencies in San Marino, Thousand Oaks, Los Angeles and more.
Its talented troupe of musicians has included the likes of principal cellist Ani Aznavoorian, principal clarinetist Jose Franch-Ballester, principal pianist Gilles Vonsattel and many others.
