With Jace Bartet and Bryant Williamson on guitar, Mike Albanese on drums and Luke Fields on bass, they have all the elements of a traditional rock outfit. However, the last remaining member does not play an instrument at all. Instead, audiences can find Noah McCarthy on stage furiously playing through a classic Nintendo Entertainment System game while the rest of the crew play their iconic soundtrack, live and totally in sync with the old-school animation on display above the stage. 

Harnessing their craft since 2004, Bit Brigade tickets have found their market with both rock and video game lovers alike. Their concerts feature McCarthy blasting through iconic titles like Mega Man X, Metroid Prime and The Legend of Zelda, as McCarthy plays on a console that has been refashioned to remove the games' soundtracks, but while retaining its sound effects which flows out the speakers in tandem with the live instrumentals.

With scrupulous attention to detail, the band carefully recreates every musical cue, interaction and boss fight in perfect parallel with Noah McCarthy's intense journey through each level. With the game acting as their sheet music, Bit Brigade validates video game music as a legitimate vehicle for musical expression, utilizing all the jumps, all the power-ups, all the attacks as tools to showcase an artistic resourcefulness that is truly one-of-a-kind.
