After picking up a banjo on tour, Savino began experimenting he immediately connected with the instrument and began the beginnings of what became his 2009 self-titled debut album. The debut was followed by songs like “Waiting on the Day” on the more introspective album, Moments, in 2012. Always looking for new ways to display his talents and the instrument, he began infusing his music with psychedelic elements and continued experimenting with layered production on 2017’s Freedays. He stripped back down to more of the basics in 2020 with the release of A Wave of Golden Things where his vocals and the feel took front and center.
