The inaugural Brier was held at the Granite Club in Toronto in 1927. The event included teams from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and the rest of Canada. Teams came from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Northern Ontario and Toronto.
