Founded in 2010, the Mayhem was originally based out of Augusta and was known as the RiverHawks. As one of the youngest teams in the SPHL, the RiverHawks found moderate success in their brief history, going on to win a regular-season championship, but failing to win the elusive President’s Cup.
However, upon a critical ice systems failure in the RiverHawks’ home venue, the James Brown Arena, it was decided that the team would relocate operations to Macon, followed by an unveiling of new colors and logo to usher in a fresh start in their new home. Although the situation was not ideal, the newly founded Mayhem team would quickly leave their mark on the Central Georgia fan base, as Macon Mayhem tickets soon became a must-have for the Macon community.
On February 4, 2015, Kevin Kerr would be tabbed as the new director of hockey operations and head coach, as the Mayhem would quickly make waves in the SPHL. By just their second season, Kerr and the team would emerge as regular-season champions with a 37-13 record, advancing all the way to the playoff championship where they would sweep the Peoria Rivermen 2–0 to clinch the President's Cup. Macon Mayhem ticket prices depend on a number of factors. Tickets to see some of the top teams in the league will be more expensive than tickets for the lower-ranked teams. Playoff tickets will also be more expensive than regular season tickets.

Macon Mayhem Schedule
Each of the ten teams in the SPHL will play a total of 56 regular-season games. The regular season begins in October and ends in March. Competition for the President’s Cup begins in April. The top eight teams will qualify for the playoffs. The three highest-seeded teams will select their opponent for the initial best-of-three series Challenge Round. Winners of the Challenge Round then compete for one of two spots in the President’s Cup Finals. The Finals are traditionally a best-of-three series, however, teams can have the option to mutually agree to a best-of-five series. When do Macon Mayhem tickets go on sale?
