Miyavi was born in Osaka, Japan and moved to Kawanishi as a young boy. He was a diligent student and a talented athlete with a passion for football. An unfortunate injury while in 7th grade prevented him from pursuing a career in sports. As a result, Miyavi learned to play the guitar.
