The 2015 LP’s hit title track "Hoops" made it to Number 25 on the ARIA Singles Chart that year and was also crowned Number in the Triple J Hottest 100 of 2015.
In 2018, The Rubens scored an ARIA Top 5 hat-trick with third album Lo La Ru, which featured popular double-platinum single "Never Ever" featuring Sarah Aarons. A fourth album, 0202, is on the horizon for February 2021, and the band has already released a string of singles in anticipation, including lead single "Live In Life". The track, which is aligned with a smoother, pop-R&B sound and marks a new sonic direction for The Rubens, was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2020 ARIA Music Awards.
