Malina was tutored in piano by Droro and Baruch Arnon with Keiko Sato. He is a graduate of Harvard University as well as the Yale School of Music and also was mentored by Otto-Werner Mueller at the Curtis Institute of Music, from which he also matriculated from.
A talented and masterful pianist, he has been lauded as a soloist and chamber musician, appearing on the stage in Harrisburg, Greensboro, New York and Charleston, frequently conducting as he plays. He has also composed and arranged numerous pieces, displaying an impressive range with his body of work spanning the spectrum from pops to symphony works.
