After playing in the Lubbock club scene Shahan decided to make his move and relocated to Fort Worth, Texas where he worked diligently on becoming a solo artist, working on his craft and recording. He finally released his debut album, Men and Coyotes in 2015 after building a sizable following.

Harmonies on selected songs are provided by Charlie Shafter and Bonnie Bishop. Popular tracks on the album include “Revolution” and “Waterbill.”
