The notable concerts that have been staged at the stadium include the 1972 Freedom Festival and Ice Cream Social, which featured the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, Edgar Winter and Dr. John “The Night Tripper.” On August 20, 1974, a triple bill of the Allman Brothers band, Elvin Bishop and REO Speedwagon.
